Hello & First Meet of the 24-25 Season info
Hello Northwood Swim & Dive Families!!
I am Ashley Marchionini and I am the Parent Rep for the Swim & Dive Team and assistant to Coach Buckley & Coach Gaby. I have a current senior swimmer (Quinn) and two alumni, both swimmers and one even tried diving:) I've been volunteering with the Northwood team for 10 years! I am excited to help out again and a bit sad that this is my final year with the team!Our first meet is coming up on Saturday, December 7th at 11:30 AM - 1:30PM. It is a tri-meet, against two teams; Springbrook and Watkins Mill. It will be held at the Germantown Indoor Swim Center, near the Soccerplex at 18000 Central Park Circle, Boyds, MD, 20841. We need volunteers and the team to arrive at 11:05AM.
On the Schedule tab you will find the sign-up for your swimmer and for the volunteer roles at the meet. (This is our first season using the Swimtopia platform for all communication and coordination, please bear with us as we get to know all of it's features!)
I will be relying on all of you to assist the team this season. This is one of the only sports at Northwood that requires a lot of family support to function. I am looking for volunteers to assist the team at our meets. We usually need about 21 people from our team to make each swim meet function. The other teams will also provide people to help! The majority of the volunteer positions do not need any prior experience, we will train you on Saturday:) It is exciting to be so close to the action, please volunteer!!
